Why Cant I Create Classes at the District Level Anymore?

If you're noticing that your district-level data page appears empty for the current school year, this is expected behavior — not a bug! This article explains why and how to find the data you're looking for.
🔍 Why Is There No Data for the Current School Year?
As part of how our platform is structured, classes and students are no longer housed at the district level. Classes are now associated directly to the school, not the district. Because of this, district-level classes will no longer be available or populate data for the current school year or any future school years going forward.
💡 This change ensures that student and class data is accurately tied to the correct school, giving you a more precise and meaningful view of your data at the school level.
📅 Can I Still See Historical Data?
Yes! While current and future school year data will not appear at the district level, you can still view data from previous school years by using the school year toggle.
Here's how:
- Navigate to the district-level data page
- Look for the school year selector at the top of the page
- Select a previous school year to view historical data
🏫 Where Can I Find Current Data?
To view current school year data, navigate to the school level within your district. From there you'll have full visibility into:
- Classes
- Session data & progress
