Understanding Your Analytics as a District Lead 

As a district lead, the Analytics section of the CharacterStrong Curriculum site gives you visibility into engagement, implementation, and onboarding across your district. Analytics is broken down into three tabs: Engagement, Implementation, and Onboarding.

To access Analytics, click Analytics in the left-hand sidebar of the Curriculum site.

Tab 1: Engagement

The Engagement tab is your home base for understanding how educators and users across your district are interacting with CharacterStrong content.

Filtering Data

At the top of the page, you can filter data by selecting a pre-populated date range — 7 Days, 30 Days, or 365 Days — or by setting a custom date range.

Understanding the Tables

The Engagement tab includes four tables:

  1. Total Time Spent (District Level) — Total time spent by all users in your district for the selected time frame.
  2. Trending Sessions — The lessons and sessions users have spent the most time on across your district.
  3. Time Spent by Product — Time spent broken down by Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 solutions.
  4. Time Spent by School — A school-by-school breakdown of time spent and number of sessions delivered.

Exporting Data

Every graph and table on the Engagement tab can be exported as a CSV (for data and reporting) or a PNG (for visual snapshots). When exporting, you can toggle CharacterStrong branding on or off.

Tab 2: Implementation

The Implementation tab gives you a breakdown of Tier 1 session data by school, along with the ability to view historical data across school years.

Toggling Between School Years

Use the school year toggle to switch between current and historical data.

Important: The ability to create Tier 1 classes at the district level is no longer available. Here's what that means for your view:

  • 2025–26 and beyond — No class creation data will be visible at the district level.
  • 2024–25 and earlier (back to 2020) — Historical data remains visible at the district level.

For schools, Tier 1 session data will continue to be available for 2026 and forward.

Understanding the Implementation Table

The table breaks down Tier 1 sessions by school. For each school, you can view:

  • Number of educators
  • Number of classes
  • Sessions delivered in the last 14 days
  • Completion rate

Drilling Down by School

Click into any individual school to view more granular implementation data for that school specifically.

Exporting Data

The full Implementation table can be exported as a CSV file.

Tab 3: Onboarding

The Onboarding tab helps you monitor account creation and invitation status across every school in your district.

Understanding the Onboarding Progress Section

Each school in your district is represented by an Onboarding Progress bar showing:

  • Accounts Created — users who have successfully set up their account
  • Invites Pending — users who have been invited but haven't yet created an account

Hover over any school's progress bar to see a quick snapshot of created accounts vs. pending invites.

Drilling Down by School

Click into any individual school for a more detailed breakdown, including the ability to:

  • Resend invitations to users with pending invites
  • Set engagement thresholds for that school

Exporting Data

The Onboarding tab can be exported as a CSV file.
