Understanding the Roles: Informant vs. Facilitator

Facilitator:

The Facilitator serves as the primary guide and leader of the Skill Intervention group or individual student support. They are responsible for implementing the intervention curriculum, monitoring progress, and adjusting supports as needed.

Note: Facilitators must have an active CharacterStrong account with Tier 2 permissions to create and manage intervention groups, assign students, and track outcomes.

Informant:

The Informant provides ongoing insights into the student's progress throughout the intervention. They support the Facilitator by sharing relevant observations, updates, and student data. Informants also participate in completing periodic survey assessments that contribute to evaluating the effectiveness of the intervention.

To assign an informant in the Tier 2 system:

  • Account Requirement: Informants must have a CharacterStrong account to appear in the staff list.

  • Permission Requirement: They do not need Tier 2 permissions.

  • Data Entry: Facilitators or Tier 2 users can manually enter observations or data on behalf of informants.

  • Access: Informants do not need access to edit student data, as their input can be handled by others with the appropriate permissions.
