3. Sections = Classes in CharacterStrong
- Clever Sections are used to create classes in CharacterStrong for tracking class progress.
- Only users with assigned sections in Clever will have classes created in CharacterStrong.
- Staff and Admin users do not have sections, and therefore, classes are not automatically created in the app. However, they can create their own classes.
4. Supported Grade Levels
CharacterStrong supports the following grade levels:
- PreKindergarten
- Transitional Kindergarten
- Kindergarten
- Grades 1–12
📣 Ensure your data reflects only these grade levels for a successful sync. Students assigned to unsupported grade levels cannot be rostered into CharacterStrong.
5. Required Data for Rostering
To properly roster users into CharacterStrong, your Clever sync must include:
- ✅ Staff
- ✅ Students
- ✅ Sections
Missing any of the above will result in incomplete access or class creation.
6. School Assignment Requirements
All users must have at least one school assigned to them in Clever in order to access CharacterStrong.
- Exception: District Admins can access CharacterStrong without a school assignment, as their role provides district-wide access.
7. Multi-Site User Access
When users are assigned to multiple buildings in Clever:
- Our system will automatically recognize this and assign the user at the district level.
- From there, they will have access to all the schools they are connected to.
✅ Final Tip
Double-check all user data in Clever before syncing — especially roles, grade levels, and school assignments — to ensure a seamless onboarding experience with CharacterStrong.
